The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Jankowa is a Roman Catholic parish church in Gorlice County, in the Diocese of Tarnów. It is a relatively young building, erected in the last years of the 20th century, and its interior combines new works with an element brought from an older church.

Construction and blessing

The church was built in 1989-1996 to a design by Janusz Dziduszko. The foundation stone was blessed in 1987 in Tarnów by Pope John Paul II, and was solemnly laid in 1992. The blessing of the completed building took place in June 1996, and the consecration in October 2005.

Interior

The stained glass was designed by Bolesław Szpecht and made by Andrzej Kwarciński. The high altar was designed by Fr Władysław Szczebak, and its retable comes from the parish church in Grobla, built in the early 20th century. The side altars were made to the same design by Antoni Gniadek, and the triptychs were painted by Roman Fleszar.
