Neo-Gothic red-brick church from 1908-1913 designed by Jan Sas-Zubrzycki.
The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Jordanów is a neo-Gothic red-brick church, built in 1908-1913. It is the parish church of the Jordanów deanery in the Archdiocese of Kraków.
It was designed by Jan Sas-Zubrzycki, professor at the Lwów Polytechnic. The foundation stone was laid on 17 October 1908, and the builder was Fr Ludwik Chorobski. It was blessed on 8 December 1912, the main altar was completed 15 years later, and Cardinal Karol Wojtyła consecrated it on 8 December 1972. The building is 50 metres long and 30 wide, with a stone plinth, and above the nave stands a sanctus-bell turret with four small towers.
The oldest paintings and sculptures were moved from the vanished wooden church of 1576-1579. The most valuable, painted in 1580, depict the Holy Trinity and the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the transept stands a Rococo altar with a copy of the painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa, considered miraculous.
