A Neo-Gothic parish church from the 1930s with an 18th-century figure of Merciful Jesus in the main altar.
The Church of the Transfiguration in Jaworzna is a stone parish church in Limanowa County, built in the 1930s.
The church was built from 1932 to a design by Stanisław Augustyn, and blessed in August of the same year. Residents had asked for a chapel during the canonical visitation in 1931. In the main altar stands an 18th-century figure of Merciful Jesus, carved by an unknown artist. According to local legends it protected the village during a cholera epidemic, and since 1932 it has stood in the church. The consecration took place only in 2022.
The Neo-Gothic building has three naves, with a narrower chancel and a tall tower at the front. The altars, pulpit, confessionals and pews were designed and made by the same Stanisław Augustyn, and the Stations of the Cross are wooden bas-reliefs.
