Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic church of the Vincentians from 1892-1894 in Kraków's Nowa Wieś.
The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes is a Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic church at Misjonarska 37 in Kraków, in Nowa Wieś in the Krowodrza district. It is the parish and conventual church of the Vincentian Fathers and is entered in the heritage register.
The church was built in 1892-1894 to a design by Stefan Żołdani, in the Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic style, of brick. The building is 42.92 metres long and 16.5 metres wide, and the bell tower together with its cross reaches 45.5 metres.
The interior has three aisles separated by pillars and columns, with three altars. The high altar was designed in 1913 by Edward Kowalczyk and holds a replica of the figure of Our Lady of Lourdes. The organ was installed in 1895 by Rieger Orgelbau, and in 1971 a Warsaw workshop rebuilt it thoroughly.
The Vincentians, that is the Congregation of the Mission of St Vincent de Paul, came to Kraków in 1682. The parish at the church was established in 1923 by Archbishop Adam Stefan Sapieha, and a choir was founded here in 1931.
From the church it is about a kilometre to Henryk Jordan Park.
