Czorsztyn
About Church of Our Lady of Fátima in Czorsztyn

A single-nave church with two towers from the 1980s, with an organ of 1781.

The Church of Our Lady of Fátima stands in Czorsztyn at Jana Pawła II Street, in the Niedzica deanery of the Archdiocese of Kraków. Since 2011 it has been a rectorial church; earlier it belonged to the parish of St Nicholas in Maniowy.

Construction

The church was built in the 1980s on the initiative of the parish priest from Maniowy, Fr Antoni Siuda, and it was consecrated in 1992 by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski. The furnishings come from the church in Stare Maniowy.

Interior

It is a single-nave church, with two towers and one altar. The organ of 11 stops, with one manual and a pedal, was built in 1781 by Jakub Stankiewicz of Zator for the church of St Andrew in Tyniec, and after that church was demolished it went to Czorsztyn.

The church and its surroundings

The church was built not long after the new church in Maniowy was built.
