A parish church on ul. Nowosądecka, built in the 1990s on the Piaski Nowe estate.
Our Lady of the Rosary Church is a parish church on the Piaski Nowe estate in the Kraków district of Podgórze Duchackie. It stands at ul. Nowosądecka 41. It is one of the churches that were built on new estates after parishes were created there, and not a historic monument of the medieval centre.
The history goes back to 1992. Right after the parish was created in Piaski Nowe, designs for a real church appeared, because earlier there had been only a chapel. In the summer of 1992 digging of the foundations began, and on 3 October 1993 Cardinal Franciszek Macharski blessed and laid the foundation stone.
In July 1994 the walls were completed and the ceiling and roof begun. In 1996 the church was plastered and fitted with electrical installation, windows and doors. The new church was blessed on 5 October 1997 during the parish indulgence feast, and the official consecration took place on 23 November 2003, on the feast of Christ the King.
