A brick parish church in Kasina Wielka, built from 1980 and consecrated in 1999, with an image of Our Lady of Bochnia.
The Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Kasina Wielka is a Roman Catholic brick church serving as the parish church of the local parish. It is relatively young: it was built in the 1980s.
Cardinal Karol Wojtyła instructed the parish priest to build a new church in Kasina. Permission to build was obtained on 2 December 1980. The building plot was blessed on 14 August 1982 by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski, and the foundation stone was laid on 13 September 1987. On that day the first Mass was also celebrated in the church, still under construction. The church was solemnly consecrated on 22 July 1999.
On the high altar stands a large stone cross, and next to it hangs an image of Our Lady of Bochnia moved from the old church. The church has two chapels: of Divine Mercy and of Our Lady of Fátima. On a side wall hangs a painting commemorating Cardinal Wojtyła's instruction, showing John Paul II against the background of the new church.
