A parish necropolis from 1861, one of the oldest active ones in Kraków County, with a mass grave of five Home Army partisans.
The parish cemetery in Słomniki lies on Poniatowskiego Street and belongs to the parish of Corpus Christi. The first burials took place here in 1861. It is one of the oldest active cemeteries in Kraków County outside Kraków.
The necropolis covers 1.87 hectares. It is active, so the usual restraint applies, as in any cemetery with ongoing burials.
In the cemetery there is a mass grave of five Home Army partisans from the Fire Brigades Resistance Movement, who were shot on 11 December 1943. Before their deaths they were tortured in one of the nearby barns by Gestapo men from Kraków.
In Słomniki itself, about half a kilometre from the cemetery, stands the synagogue. Not far away is the Museum of the Słomniki Land, and about a kilometre from here lies the Jewish cemetery.
