Solvay Contemporary Art Centre

The Solvay Contemporary Art Centre is a cultural institution at Zakopiańska 62, part of the Podgórze Culture Centre. It presents contemporary art in a range of fields.

Galleries and performance hall

The venue includes galleries where exhibitions are shown and a performance hall for concerts and shows. The programme includes poetry evenings, monthly concerts by young artists called Solvay Nocą (Solvay at Night), jazz concerts and the Chemia theatre festival.

This is a place where it is better to check the current programme than to turn up without a plan, because what you see depends on current exhibitions and events.

Nearby

The centre lies in Łagiewniki, a few hundred metres from the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, so the visit can be combined with a walk in this part of the city.
